Government

As representative of a nation, the aim of the government is to achieve rising prosperity. The quality of infrastructure, probably the most important public service that is facilitated and funded by the government, is a major factor of prosperity. Fact is that a modern infrastructure is a key factor for economic growth. It connects national and international networks and it is a central part of the contemporary world. Considering that motorway traffic increases, it is more important than ever that highways are safe, smart, cost efficient and sustainable. To ensure that traffic flow is properly managed on highways in any situation, SPIE Smart city developed invented two movable motorway barrier systems.

Traffic lane congestion will be minimized, with less traffic jams on the highway and thus less economic damage as a result. In the light of safety and coordination, the VEVA®, crash rated movable highway barrier and the CADO®, highway barrier emergency gate, are designed such that they are controlled automatically and remotely. Besides, since the available motorway road space is used efficiently, the well-designed traffic control systems VEVA and CADO, contribute to a more sustainable network with practically no negative environmental impact.
